Turn a CSV into a dashboard. Free, in your browser.

Drop in a CSV or Excel export and get a working dashboard straight away: headline numbers, trends and breakdowns, calculated from every row. Your file never leaves this tab.

Drop a CSV or Excel file here

.csv, .xlsx or .xls, up to 30 MB. It is read in this tab and never uploaded.

01/How it works

Three steps, about ten seconds.

  1. 01

    Drop your file

A .csv, .xlsx or .xls export, up to 30 MB. It is read inside this browser tab and never leaves it.

  2. 02

    Get a first dashboard

Headline numbers, a trend over your date column and your biggest categories, chosen from the shape of the data.

  3. 03

    Change anything

Switch any chart’s type, grouping or calculation, add charts, and download any chart’s figures as CSV.

02/Built for real exports

It reads the file you actually have.

Dates in any common format

2026-03-04, 04/03/2026 (day first, as in Australia), 03/04/2026 (month first) and Excel’s own date numbers. When a file could be read either way, you choose.

Money and messy numbers

Dollar signs, thousands separators, percentages and accounting brackets for negatives all read as numbers.

Real-world exports

Blank rows are skipped, unnamed or repeated headers get sensible names, and ragged rows are kept rather than refused.

Every row, exactly

Totals come from the same calculation engine DashVault uses, over every row of the file. Nothing is sampled or estimated.

03/When you need more

The free tool, and what DashVault adds.

The tool is for a quick look at one file. DashVault is for the reports you rebuild every month and the people who read them.

Frequently asked questions

Is this really free?

Yes. No account, no email address, no limit on how many files you try. It is a small part of DashVault offered on its own.

Is my file uploaded anywhere?

No. The file is read and charted by code running in your browser tab. Nothing about its contents is sent to DashVault or anyone else, and closing the tab discards it.

Which files work, and how big can they be?

CSV files and Excel workbooks (.xlsx and .xls) up to 30 MB. For workbooks the first sheet is read, and the first row is treated as the header.

Does this tool use AI?

No. The first set of charts is chosen by simple rules from your column types. Describing a dashboard in plain English and having the AI design it is what DashVault itself does. How the AI dashboard generator works.

Can I save or share the dashboard?

Not in the free tool, which forgets everything when you close the tab. In DashVault dashboards are saved, refresh from their source and can be shared by link, with viewers free on every plan. The 14-day trial needs no card. Start a free trial.

Why not paste the file into a chatbot?

A chatbot writes its totals as text, and nothing guarantees it added up every row. Here, and in DashVault, every number is the result of a calculation over the whole file.

Ready when your data is

Connect the source once, describe what you need, and let it refresh itself. Your first 14 days are free.
