AI dashboard generator

The AI dashboard generator that never makes up a number.

Upload a CSV or Excel file, connect an API, and describe the dashboard you need. The AI designs it. DashVault calculates every figure from every row of your data.

01/The problem with AI and numbers

A plausible number is not the same as a correct one.

Language models write their answers as text, digits included. Ask one for a total and you get something that reads well, but nothing guarantees it was added up from every row. DashVault splits the job in two: the AI decides what to calculate, and a deterministic engine does the calculating.

A typical chat answer

What were total redemptions last quarter?

Total redemptions were roughly 48,000 points, up around 12% on the previous quarter.

Written as text. Which rows it used, and whether it added them, is unknown.

The same question in DashVault
{ "measure": "points", "aggregation": "sum", "range": "last quarter" }
Points redeemed, last quarter48,615

Calculated from 3,077 of 3,077 rows. The same answer every time.

Illustrative example.

02/Four ways to start

Start from words, a picture, a blank canvas or a Power BI file.

01

Describe it

Type what you want to see, such as “monthly revenue by region, top five products”. The AI lays out the dashboard and you refine it in conversation.

02

Show it

Upload a screenshot of a dashboard you already like. DashVault rebuilds it as live charts on your own data.

03

Build it

Drag fields onto charts in the report builder, pick the visual and the aggregation, and arrange it on a grid. Switch to the AI at any point and back again.

04

Import it

Bring a Power BI .pbix or .pbit file. Its pages come across as reports, with charts, titles and layout mapped onto your data.

03/What goes in a dashboard

Everything a working dashboard needs.

Six visual types

KPI cards, bar, line, pie, scatter and table.

Real aggregations

Sum, average, count, unique count, minimum and maximum.

Time grains

Day, month, quarter or year, with sorting and top N lists.

Calculated fields

Arithmetic formulas over your columns, applied before every chart.

Report filters

Keep or exclude rows by value, across the whole report or one chart.

Global filters

A date range and category filters that move every chart at once.

Data you can bring

.csv.xlsx.xlsJSON APIs.pbix.pbit

APIs connect with authentication headers, pagination and a data path, and are saved as reusable connections. Credentials stay on the server.

Then ask it questions

Ask the data answers plain-English questions by running a query over the full dataset, so a follow-up question gets the same calculated treatment as a chart.

04/Questions

Frequently asked questions

What is an AI dashboard generator?

A tool that builds a dashboard from a description instead of manual chart configuration. You say what you want to see, and it chooses the charts, groupings and measures. DashVault adds one rule on top: the AI only designs the dashboard, and every value is calculated from your data by a deterministic engine.

How do I turn a CSV or Excel file into a dashboard?

Start a free trial, upload the file, and describe the dashboard you want. DashVault reads the columns, the AI proposes a set of charts, and the engine fills them from every row. From there you can refine it in chat, edit it by hand, and share it by link.

Will the AI make up numbers?

No. The AI never writes a figure that appears on a chart. It returns a specification (what to group, what to measure and how to aggregate), and the numbers come from running that specification over every row. If the data cannot answer the question, the dashboard says so.

Can I import a Power BI report?

Yes, the report side of it. DashVault reads the pages, visuals, titles, layout and simple filters from a .pbix or .pbit file and rebuilds them on data you have connected to DashVault. The Power BI data model itself cannot be read, so the charts are rebuilt on your DashVault data rather than copied.

Do I need to clean my data first?

Usually not. DashVault reads exported files as they are, including odd delimiters, extra sheets and numbers stored as text. Calculated fields and filters in the builder handle most of the rest.

Is there a free trial?

Yes. 14 days with every feature, 15 editors and 1,500 AI credits. No card needed.

Ready when your data is

Bring a file. Ask for a dashboard.

Use a real export you already know the totals for. It is the fastest way to see why the numbers hold.
